Stephen Friedman Website Migration

Stephen Friedman Gallery is a leading contemporary art institution based in London (with newer operations in New York) that represents a bold, international roster spanning abstraction, conceptual practice, figuration, and cross-disciplinary forms. In 2023, the gallery expanded and moved to new spaces on Cork Street to support its growth and renewed ambitions. 

For their latest site relaunch, I collaborated closely with their London team and Artlogic’s technical group to migrate critical archival content dating from 2005 onward. This migration included their exhibitions, artists, news, and publications — all adapted to a fresh website design that aligned with the gallery’s evolving visual identity.

The project demanded both data integrity and design sensitivity: reconciling formats, preserving metadata, refining image quality, and ensuring the new site would honour the gallery’s voice and history while making future updates seamless.
