Thaddaeus Ropac
Preserving Decades of Exhibitions
WEBSITE
DATA TRANSFER
“Working with Joe on the website migration was a smooth and collaborative process — he managed a complex transfer of archives with clarity and care.”
Thaddaeus Ropac is one of the world’s leading contemporary art galleries, with international spaces in Paris, London, Salzburg, and Seoul. Their program includes ambitious exhibitions from both emerging and established artists, often working on projects that span decades.
As part of a major digital overhaul, Artlogic designed and developed a bespoke website for the gallery, tailored to their scale and international profile. My role was to ensure the site launched with its full history intact. I managed the transfer of exhibitions, artists, and news covering nearly three decades — 1991 to 2020 — so that the gallery’s legacy could be preserved and made accessible online.
I worked closely with the Ropac team in London and Paris, collaborating directly with their curatorial and digital departments, alongside the Artlogic development team. Over the course of three months, we migrated, structured, and verified thousands of records to ensure the transition was seamless.
The result is a robust, elegant platform that not only reflects Ropac’s identity but also provides a digital foundation for their future growth.
